  This is the overall statement that guides our classrooms:
  
  Together we will discuss specific expectations, the definitions of each, and being responsible for yourself.
  
  Student Expectations
  
  1. Treat all people with kindness and respect.
  2. Respect all property.
  3. Come to class on time and be prepared to learn.
  4. Listen and follow directions.
  5. Work in a way that doesn't distract others from learning. 
  6. Always try your hardest to do your best.

Uniform Policy

The purpose of a uniform dress code standard is to allow students to focus on their academic responsibilities, and promote a feeling of unity among all students.  

Our uniform dress code allows families to purchase from any retail source that is convenient including any clothing store, including thrift or resale clothing stores. Stores such as Wal-Mart, Target, JCPenney, Old Navy and others, including on-line vendors carry uniforms for purchase.

All students, Kindergarten through 6^th grade are expected to follow the guidelines provided with the support of their parent/guardian.

 

SHIRTS

Boys and girls can wear short sleeve, or long-sleeved polos in the following solid colors:

White, Red, Navy, or Blue.

 

SWEATSHIRTS, JACKETS, or SWEATERS

Boys and girls can wear cover items in the following solid colors:

Navy, Black, Red, or Light Blue

Option: Star prints are allowed on sweatshirts.

 

BOTTOMS

Boys and girls can wear pants or longer shorts in the following colors:

Khaki or Navy Blue

Option for girls: Skirts

 

SOCKS:

Boys and girls can wear socks in solid colors, with desired lengths:

Black, White, or Navy Blue

 

SHOES:

Boys and girls should wear closed heel, and closed toe shoes. Athletic shoes with minimal accent colors, and no embellishments are acceptable.

 

ADDITONAL REQUIREMENTS

1. Students are not allowed to wear hats in the building.
2. All student dress requirements already enforced by the Deer Valley Unified School District will also be observed.
